My friend just had a boy and we are trying to find some things to get for him, any suggestions/directions in the general Dublin area? Anything alternative or unusual appreciated

For some unusual stuff I'd check out the shops in Temple bar, you can get the cutest little things for babies there, they even do baby band tshirts!

For all the usual stuff Next is the best, and Dunnes have some very cute stuff.

Online there's Threadless, this stuff is deadly.

My friends own a shop off Camden Street www.mayfly.ie that has gorgeous organic baby stuff, I got this for another friend's baby



Not everyone's cup of tea but my friend's partner is a big boss fan!

oh and my boyfriend's friends had a baby and they are big geeks so he got a tee for the kid from www.thinkgeek.com

Mayfly is lovely all right.

There's another one in the westbury mall that has some pretty cool stuff.

Check out http://www.koalakids.ie too, I got something from them for my brothers baby girl and they were absolutely delighted with it.

Organic cotton is supposed to be a lot better for the babies too.
