Getting fliers designed and printed for a small business

Can anyone recommend a good business/individual for this? I'm looking to get about 1,000 fliers printed, maybe A5 size, with a high-quality design and finish. Have e-mailed a couple of places looking for prices but have yet to hear back from them.

Also, has anyone got any idea what would be a reasonable price for this? I'm a bit clueless about it to be honest! :o

    Thanks!

    Where are you located?
Designer costs vary depending on your budget.

Take a look at printing.ie they seem to be very well priced lately, must be recession prices as they are even cheaper than vistprint for 1000 A5 flyers at the minute

1000 A5's with design is coming in at 288 euro delivered ex VAT for full colour one sided

I think you'll probally find it hard to beat 69 euro for design to be honest

Located in Dublin, but I'm away for work for a bit, so I'm hoping to order them online and get them sent to me rather than actually having to order them in person.

That's an awful price! You can get about 15000-20000 from printcarrier.com or onlineprinters.com for that price. I know it includes design but you could get someone on adverts for cheaper to design it.

Completely agree... I design all my own stuff, but I know a girl on here that'll do you a great flyer design for €60 or less.

www.onlineprinters.com will do you 1250 flyers on 250gm paper, gloss finish for around €70 or so... That includes UPS shipping and vat..
I've been using them for a while and they're great.

So you could get it all done for about €130...

And the previous posters post about being cheaper than Vistaprint.. That aint hard, Vistaprint is CRAZY expensive for flyers etc. Good for free stuff tho

Wow printcarrier.com do have some seriously good prices, had never heard of them before until now. Yeah at those prices I'd be choosing printcarrier.

Whats the print quality like ? Good colour etc

Its a pity some Irish businesses cant match or come close to those prices as its still nice to support local but thats a hefty difference alright.

If there anything like onlineprinters(who I think are cheaper?) the quality is much better than anything I've ever had done in Ireland.. and I mean MUCH better.

One thing you have to make sure of is that you include the correct bleed etc. I used there datacheck service(extra €7 or so) for my first few order, once u get the hang of it it's simple...

You can get a pack of sample papers from printcarrier if you want to see what the paper quality is like.

What are the delivery times realisticly like from printcarrier or onlineprinters?

From dispatch to ur door is about 3 days.. onlinprinters ship with UPS so u can track it handy enough. Thats for std shipping, u can pay extra for quicker shipping if u need it

    www.reads.ie

    currently have special offer

    A5 200gsm (light card) 2000 for €165.

As to how quick they are - I ordered total at 9am and got email to say they were ready at 2pm.

Also, you can design your own and then use pdf creator software that they link to on their site.

a good return for flyers is 5%(50 per 1000)and if u are sticking them through doors u can quater that if your lucky (12 per 1000) when u put it that way thay are to dear to bother with
you would be better sticking an add in the paper

    +1 for onlineprinters

I also design myself and often get printed abroad. I actually got some from onlineprinters.com last week. They have friendly costumer service and are pleasant. The one thing I will say about onlineprinters is to order in plenty of time as the production time+delivery takes aprox 8 working days (for me)

If you want to print irish then reeds and printing.ie seem to have a good reputation even though I have never used them.

One thing I will say is to have a plan of what you want to do with the flyers before you order them. Don't order them if you wont use them. Oh and it takes time putting them in shops or houses ect.

Oh and get paper samples for onlinelineprinters before you order. Them have loads of paper types.

    Good luck!
