    I got off the phone with the Azerbaijan airlines and they said that he has to apply online over in Azeri.

    Only 1 problem;

    He's can't write nor read. He is 78. He can't see very well. He can not speak English.

    He's alone over their with 1 family member (his sister).

    I kinda need help, ASAP.

    -- Contact details for the Azerbaijan Embassy in London, they would probably cover Ireland as well.

    I dont understand why people think this is the best place for such info. According to the Dept of Foreign Affairs site http://www.dfa.ie/home/index.aspx?id=5558 the nearest embassy is Ankara, Turkey. You may need to contact them or check the DFA site for more visa info.

    I presume that your father doesn't think that the Irish are a waste of DNA or organs?

    It'll cost you 2 goats, a Yak and a self-addressed envelope.

    Feck the visa, get 10k together and I'll sell you my sister to be his bride. Once he knocks her up we'll get him in as the childs biological father.

    I bet you don't even have a visa to swap for that camel anyway. One of us giving heart felt suggestions, the other is just trying to string the poor man along to get a free camel. :(

    I think actually ratri's document may me more useful you should probably contact the Azeri embassy in London first for info. Are you Azeri or Irish?

    Irish - I just googled "Azerbaijan Embassy Ireland".

    I'd give that crowd a ring in the morning and explain the issue and just ask where to go from there.

    Definitely contact the embassy because you may have to get him a visa for Ireland and a transit visa for whatever country he lands in for a connecting flight (I dont think theres any Dublin-Baku flights anyway)

    For your nan's sake, you should really ask whether he's hot. You'll get nothing in the will for saddling her with someone who might not look too good in a tux.
