I was just wondering if there is any way to find out many cars there are by a particular manufacturer in Ireland? I was thinking specifically of Ferraris.

    Thanks. :)

I didn't think of that. It gives a rough idea which is all I need really. Thank you.

There is also a category in the revenue website that gives details of all cars registered, numbers and makes. I stumbled across it by accident ages ago. I vaguely remember it being in the "motor tax rates" section of the site.

Interesting to see the breakdown of the major brands compared to each other.

    MERCEDES BENZ 58,468
    BMW 65,273
    AUDI 49,851

    and

    FORD 211,074
    TOYOTA 277,023
    VOLKSWAGEN 207,885

Honda is a lot lower than I thought it would be - 52,428.

Most of them are probably Niva's, although I do regularly see a '92 Samara around south Dublin.

That list can't be right. Only two DAF's and 15 Iveco's? Nonsense.

7 Bedford's taxed privately - unless the list includes camper vans I can't see how this is the case and if it did I'd expect a lot more Iveco's!

1 Talbot means the three Murena's there used to be in Ireland must be mostly gone...

I would have thought their would be more Talbot's. There is still a few Lotus Sunbeam's knocking about.

Some of those would have been taxed as classics by the end of '08 though I'd presume? They could also be under Chrysler or Lotus's figures!

The Murena is about the only post 1979 Talbot I can think of that'd have a presence here, and I used to know an owner and the whereabouts of another on-road one.

I remember seeing an '81 Solara about a year ago. Could be that then.
