HI , Does anybody have experience with wireless radiator valves . The stat will be placed anywhere in the room and will open or shut the valve on the Rad as per stat via wireless signal :)

I know that Danfoss do them but wonder how much they are if anybody has any experience re them

    Thank you in advance

i haven't wired any ,but we discussed them over on the electrical forum

these are 3v and are hardwired to each stat

otherwise i assume it's an 'rf' link and a battery in each.

normally then the stats or valves need to signal the boiler some way- to call for heat

Thanx for your reply . No these are totally wireless. And yes there are options to speak to the boiler but this one is only per each room and only controls the rad in a room and closes and opens to have the rad reach the individual room set required temp.

Yes battery . 3years live time on each unit

you prob wont get a 'backlit display' with the battery stat although they may have a 'neon' indicator

    keep in mind zoning anyway.
ie:bedrooms etc.can be zoned together prob at the same temperature ,with 1 wireless programmable stat and wireless rad valves or a single MV (if possible)

but you may already know that

Ye I do know that . The only problem is I have a massive landing that is part of the upstairs zoning and might make the rooms to hot to maintain the heat on the landing . I want to have each bedroom or room in the house controled individually so that when a zone 1 0r 2 is on and maybe only one rad needs to go on in a zone :) imagine the savings

i've connected systems with programmable stat for every room

that gives the most flexibility -you can consider that also
