Hi all,

I'm soon to become unemployed. I've worked in auditing the last 2.5 years and am looking for a new career far removed from accountancy and finance. I've been thinking that I would like to do a few months unpaid internship somewhere to build up experience for my CV. I have a marketing major in college so I wouldnt mind trying something in that area.

I'm wondering how does one go about getting a job as an unpaid intern? Is it an easy process of just emailing places and saying that I'm looking to work for free for a few months? I'm assuming that it would suit companies to have unpaid interns rather than paid interns so surely it would be much easier to get a position as an unpaid intern rather than a paid intern?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
