HCAP test clarification

Good day, going for the HCAP next week and have a couple of question for you all experienced deer hunters if you don't mind.

1- The Hcap manual mentions on p144 (Coillte sporting license) that "not to dispose of any viscera or other carcass waste on the lands"
Now page 101 and 102 it says that the red offal , green offal, gut, spleen, bladder and gravid uterus should be examined for abnormalities and buried on the stalking ground.
    So bury or not ?

2- if you plan to sell the deer to a game dealer you do not have to provide the head and feet if after examination the deer is free of diseases, in that case all you need is the red offal, correct ? The head and feet would only be needed if the deer shows suspected signs of diseases. Or do you have to keep the head ?

    Thank you in advance

the nite i done my hcap , barry coad asked liam nolan to take that question out of the test ,along with a few others i was having a drink with them.

its a bull shxt question , leave it but not on a public path hide as best you can.

if your after doing the hcap you should be able to identify sick animals or is that a bit advanced for the hcap .

the game dealer in naas does not require the pluck if you are trained hcap/DMQ .

as far as the head its not required but preferred .

the hcap was a wonderful opportunity to train stalkers .

HCAP.............what a nice little earner, wish I had thought of that one.
I wonder just how many sticky fingers are in that particular pie

    Thanks for the replies.
Yes understand that not everybody is for the HCAP and having it won't make you a "stalker" but i get my deer license though Coillte so no choice but doing it. And i did learn a lot of thing just by reading the manual, especially on the diseases section.
Yes jwshooter in would (i do) leave the offal / gut .. where i shot the deer (away from paths of course) but wouldn't like to fail this question should i have it just because HCAP says one thing in one page and another in the next page.

the question will come up . coillte dont remove there offal .

i would ring liam nolan on this one .he marks the exams he will have the answer to this stupid question.

also the question about a male sika giving a alarm whistle is wrong also.

there is two you might fail on

was always told that the hind sika whistles when alarmed.
No sika where i am (red and fallows only) so can't really use my little experience.

Regarding the stag, i wasn't sure so did some research on some UK www.

    http://www.countrysportsandcountrylife.com/sections/stalking/Sika_Deer.htm

"In addition to calls associated with the rut, Sika have a distinctive alarm whistle or squeak, which both hinds and stags can give, although the latter is of a lower pitch"

I was never a fan of exams (who is really) , not that i can't learn anything but some of the things you have to learn are not always correct.

Another one for the road, the gun license is now given for 3 years but still if a question comes up about it i will need to say that it is available for 1 only .

    good day everybody

That's what I was going to do but at £15 including post you get a loose leaf A4 size book. Each page is laminated and they will send you updated pages as they become availible.

As said great info and value to be had. Good answers to the HCAP can be found in this book.
