We have run lots of them in the past.. Generally nothing to strenious, the aim is for us to get an understanding of how you work in a team environment.

    - Are you an active participant?
    - Do you display leadership traits? (Be careful not to be too dominating.. this can be very destructive for a group)
    - Are you including other team members in the discussions/plans
    - Do you have a logical process for what you are doing etc..
    - Can you bring the team together to get the objective done..
    - Have you pulled a plan together for the team, and are you monitoring that plan against performance.

In general, actually completing the objective is not as important as the traits you display while working on that objective.

Avoid arguements, petty behaviour, domineering behaviour, ignoring or belitteling other people or their opinions etc.

You will spend 99% of your working career working with other people, so it's a good chance to see how you interact with people.

(apologies for typos etc.. quick reply before dashing to a meeting :))

oh and sometimes, we might change the objective or rules mid way.. just to see how people react.. (kinda like real life).. you would be amazed at the amount of people that suddenly don't appear to be able to cope.
