Underrated part of the tea / coffee experience IMO. What's the first mug you reach for when you're getting a brew on?

This is my favourite coffee mug by a LONG shot. If it's in the press it's getting used. Oddly I wouldn't even consider it for tea.

I broke my favourite mug yesterday. :( Well it wasn't actually mine but it was my favourite of the mugs in the house I live in atm. Might get a new one for the house because of it.

    A favourate mug?
I have a range of favourate mugs depending on what I am intending on drinking.

As a Tove Jansson fan, Moomin mugs

    moomin_mugs.jpg?w=457&h=294

tend to predominate for me. The mysterious Hattifatteners

    finnstyle_2098_89416088

are probably my favourite, but the scary Groke

    finnstyle_2098_88806356

is bound to show up from time to time. You'd think she'd make the coffee very cold very fast, but she doesn't!

well in work I don't have my own mug, I just choose from the selection in the cupboards. Of those mugs my favourite is this one:

However, therer are 4 mugs that look like this, so to identify my one I have to look inside.

At home my favourite mug is a Man & Superman Bernard Shaw mug that the OH got me. don't have a pic of it.
I'll save you the bother of seeing my espresso cups since they are technically not mugs :D

Clinker, do you mind me asking where you live? I'm coming round to steal your Moomin mugs! :D

Mainly using this one at the moment for a great big mug of coffee (I'm a librarian - the number is the Dewey classification number for coffee ;))

Oh no! And I haven't even mentioned them to my insurance company. I have to keep resisting the urge to get more: the current tally is sixteen, not including the broken Moominpapa mug.

    Where do you get them?

I get them at the Finnish Design Shop, and Oh, no! I'm sorry I looked: it's been a while and there are several new ones!

Last time I checked around they were the cheapest and had the best range. Quick delivery too.

BTW, did you know that the first Moomin book

    9515015502-0-large.jpg

The Moomins and the Great Flood is now available in English? It's not that good, but essential for completists!

Actually the Moominworld Shop is cheaper: it's a while since I looked. I've never dealt with them though!

My favourite is the illy 2oz espresso cup, it's just so classic looking, and it's perfectly crafted to boot.
