Thinking of going for laser treatment on a persistent tendonosis problem in my achilles which has responded only slightly to six months of physio treatment. I've seen the Laser Clinic & Total Laser Health mentioned on this forum & was wondering if anyone had experience of using either, or even better, both? Or are there any other laser treatment options in the Dublin area?

Your money might be better spent on getting a second opinion on your tendinopathy from a chartered physiotherapist. Also before spending a lot of money on laser treatment you might want to research the evidence base for the efficacy (or otherwise)of this treatment - it may not do what it says on the tin...

I'm a chartered physio myself and I highly recommend going this route. I myself had a cyst the size of a malteeser visible through my sock. Couldnt run 15 yards without it bothering me for two days. Did physio and stuff with no meaningful change. went up to Dr Leahy and got it zapped. End of story. I started running shortly after that and 6 marathons later I can honestly say wtih hands on heart that the bit of me that definitley wont hurt ( and probably the only bit) is my achilles.

Last summer I got forced to the side of the road by a jeep as I was approaching the brow of a hill. I made a spurt and felt a ping in my other one. It has gradually thickened and is aching middle of the nights and mornings. Ok when it gets warmed up on a long run but I will pay for it later. have appointment for next thursday to get it done.

He has done quite a few of my patients who dont respond quickly. 3 physio sessions would have the cost of it covered. Doestn matter how bad it is although if it only improves by 85% he will usually recommend a second blast. Its quick , painless and your collagen will be revitalized. You will never look back.
    Do it.:)
