M4 Battery Question

Have a couple of questions for you;

- Will a JG M4 take a 9.6v Ni battery, without any gearbox upgrades?
- If so, would a 9.6 5000mAh battery (this one http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/intellect-96v-5000mah-nimh-large-battery) fit in A) A standard Handguard, and A magpul PTS MOE handguard

Am in the long process of doing up my M4, and still operating off of the freebie battery. All the best,

I don't know about whether or not you'd get bother running a JG on a 9.6v - but I expect not, especially if it's one of the latest ones (i.e. before the Attack of the Clone Police in China) - but I doubt you'd get that battery into the standard front end. Also the magpul front end doesn't give a whole lot more room - you might get a mini nunchuck in there easier ... something like this:

It's basically the same sort of battery, but the split in it being a nunchuck makes it easier to sit either side of the barrel - or over/under - you get the idea.

You won't get a large type battery into an MOE handguard but you might get it into a standard one at a push.:)

Would you get the mini-nunchuck 9.6 in there though? If you tried to fit it around the barrel? Purely selfish question as I'm trying to do the same thing myself!

Yeah, you'd fit a standard mini type in there aswell:)
