    Well all,
After several months, finally got to pick up Roadrunner today. A 1980 1275GT. Here are the pics:

Bodywork is perfect. Will be getting it fully waxed and polished before putting on the GT stripes and the other few bits. Engine is a race built engine and is in perfect running order. The drivers side seatbelt was removed, so that needs to go back on. Speakers dont seem to be connected to the radio (or the amp has been disconnected).

It needs to be taxed (declared as non-use for the past 3 years), insured (onto current policy) and NCT'd.

very nice enjoy it ,is it a good idea to put a stripe on top of a polished surface ?

Thanks. Im not sure if its male or female. In that colour, I would suggest male! In an underground carpark with a stormforce cover over it to protect it from anything that could get on it!

In terms of the stripe, the reason why I wont to get it polished/waxed is because if the stripe is on for it a while (which it will) I dont want any discolouration. I dont think there can be issues, but I am open to suggestion!

Thanks for all the replies! Its locked away in an underground carpark (so dry!) and I have a stormforce cover over it. Little awkward to fit because of the rally lights, but its dry, and protected from dust and people who might damage it getting out of their car beside it. It will be making its maiden voyage on the MTM2010 run this year.

I want to drive it now, but I have to strict with myself! Its not taxed so it stays away from outside air for the time being!

You could go the whole hog and have the stripe painted on, the wax and polish to your hearts content. Sweet little motor, well may you drive.

Alternative Sidelight/indicator units is a neat way around those expensive replacement Clubman units. Well done.

    Nice car, enjoy.

What's the box with three knobs under the dash on the passenger side?

    What's the engine spec?

Its a PA system. Its been removed from it now. I'm putting in a CB Radio in its place.

I actually dont know! Its meant to be a race sped'd 1275, ie re-borred with upgraded carbs. Im going to see if I can get Paul Hickey (HRE Engineering) to find out for me!
