Quick question -is it OK to bring your iPod into the steam room? Hate when people are talking in them but also hate sitting there doing nothing!!! Do they work in steam rooms or would they break them?!

Almost Certain they would break , Unless you get somekind of underwater case for it , the moisture and heat would not be good for it at all!

Electronics do not enjoy extremely hot and wet environments.

In Carphone we used to sell a waterproof bag type thing for iPods...

Check online, sure they're still available

Don't do it! You will break your iPod.

You can get waterproof MP3 players, which I'd love to have for the pool, but they're expensive.

I don't know if I'd trust a waterproof bag to protect my beloved iPod though!

I'd invest in a cheap ass mp3 player and try it out on that. Certainly wouldn't bring an expensive iPod in with me.

Whatever about a cover keeping the moisture out, what about the heat in the sauna!?!?
Either invest in a cheap mp3 player or don't listen to music is the sauna, you probably will only be in there for half an hour anyway.

Ask the staff to play some music? Our local pool plays the radio over the intercom if you ask them lol

    It will break.

Once the steam touches the metal it will condense because of the lower temperature of the metal and in no time your ipod will be covered in water.

Don't try a cheap mp3. It will also break.

    It's science

you could do a bear grylls and use condoms to cover it...water proof and cheap.:D

although good luck explaining what you're doing with condoms in a steam room if anyone happens to notice
