I am 31 , I have a decent permanent job but I have never been in a serious relationship, I dont know why , I suppose I am a bit self conscious about my weight, actually I have very low self esstem and the thought of rejection justs fills me with dread.I just dont dont have any self worth

At my age most guys are very experienced but im just crap, and I feel even if I was to get close to someone they would find it weird that I havent ever had a girlfriend.

Whenever I go out now, which is rarely chatting to girls never really enters my head because I am so used to not doing it.

I think im doomed to be single for the esrt of my life

    Hi OP,

I understand that your lack of relationship is getting you down and you are focusing on the negative aspects of yourself. It sounds like you have low self esteem and don't believe you have much to offer in a relationship. You probably give off this vibe to others, girls etc and then it all becomes a bit of a self fulfulling prophecy. I think if you really wanted to find someone you could but of course it takes work and some risk on your part. Maybe you should first focus on the relationship with yourself. try tackling your weight and self esteem issues first. Once you feel confident in yourself the rest will happen. Why not speak to a counsellor and get to the root of your self esteem issues. Weight is often used as a way to keep people away a safety blanket of some sort. Why not join a gym and tackle your weight? You might then meet new people as a result. Don't focus on the lack of relationships - I think it is the red herring in the mix. Focus on yourself first. Another person will not make you happy if you are unhappy in yourself. If you meet a genuine person they will not care about your relationship past. I would prefer your lack of relationships to a guy who has slept with loads of girls. There is nothing wrong with you - you are a little depressed and don't have a lot of confidence but you have the power to change if you want to take action. Be the best you you can be. You don;'t have to be stuck for the rest of your life. Start to look at the positives you can hold down a job, are articulate etc. Am sure there are lots of other positives you are not seeing at the moment. You can do it - good luck
