Just got a mac with CS3 and bridge on it. just wondering how people work with these? Do you copy your images to bridge and then process/convert to jpeg in CS3. Whats works best for you?

I love bridge, my workflow is import using bridge and then use bridge as the viewer/keyword edit program before you can open raw files in either bridge itself ctrl r or in photoshop. I have tried lightroom but a lot of my filters are photoshop only

I also use Bridge to rate pictures for jobs like weddings ctrl 1-5

So do you import in bridge sort/file tag and then process image in CS3 and then convert to jpeg?

You can convert the image into what ever you want, jpeg is not always what you may want to save as depending on what you've been doing with the image "click here" for a guide to on what way to save your images.

currently looking in bridge for an avatar shot to practice my photoshop on:)

When I used to use Bridge ( I use Nikon Capture NX now for RAWs) I'd open in bridge and adjust white balance, exposure, some levels and then export it to photoshop as a jpeg (as it doesn't compress the image) and work in it further in photoshop. I'd then save this in photoshop as an edited tiff file, then merge all layers, sharpen and save as a jpeg.

It's a bit long winded but if you ever go back to your edited Tiff file you can start from scratch or change any of the layers as you see fit without any loss of image quality.

Any one have CS3 tutorial dvd? is it worth getting. I know lots of links on youtube but would prefer something more consistent. How did people here teach themselves?

Martin Evening's book on CS3 is very good, contains a DVD...it's a little expensive.
