I thought I'd create a post about some info of the upcoming episodes of Lost. It will contain only minor spoilers, nothing in-depth.

    Minor Spoilers from here:

Nestor Carbonell has confirmed that there will be an episode centred around his character, and that big revelations will be made in Episode 9 and 15

It has also being confirmed that there will be an episode that doesn't include the series regulars. Im not sure if that could be the Richard episode, or maybe a Jacob episode?

Lost execs have also promised answers for Desmond's character too.

That episode without the series regulars sounds bizarre doesn't it? Would that mean that actors listed as guest stars could be in it?
Michael Emerson also said that episode will be set in a time and place never seen before on network television! Whets the appitite doesn't it :D

    Spoiler here on in:
Apparently there will be at least one episode which will travel back in time to around 200 AD which will feature a young Jacob and a young MIB. This will detail how they came to be. It will also expain why MIB (Locke) saw a young blonde haired boy with blood on his hands.

Sounds awesome!! Ties in with the above comments.

Apparantly Episode 11 is Desmond-centric and is supposed to be really good, possibly even a real tear-jerker

I wouldn't get my hopes up. According to DarkUFO's sources, 6x11 is a clunker.

And 6x13 sounds like a clunker too. In fact, the two-hour finale doesn't even have that high a score either - which is very, very worrying

There's no score for the finale yet. 6x16 is just the penultimate episode.

Yeah, 6x17/18 is the real season finale. Same as there was There's no place like home Part 1, and then There's no place like home Parts 2 & 3 in Season 4

Ah no problem. Still though, those scores don't really fill me with a lot of hope for a season I believe (so far) has been the weakest of the series. Next week's by all accounts sounds immense though

Afaik they aren't doing that this season. It's just a regular 2 part finale like last year. The writers were misquoted about it being a 3-parter. Unless the script ends up too long and they have to add on a 19th hour, but it seems unlikely at this stage.

Keep in mind though that many of those sources are basing their scores off the script. They are still shooting 6x16. One of the sources was also especially negative which skewed the average.

It's nice to have them ratings as an indicator but in fairness its all relative depending on the person.

Personally I found Dr. Linus to be a poor episode and would only have given it a 6, whereas I far preferred Recon and would have given it an 8. Yet in the average ratings Dr. Linus scored 9.3 and Recon got 7.1. I know they are the average scores of 7 different sources but who knows what they are basing their ratings on.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before but Ab Aeterno means "from the beginning of time" - sounds great

The ratigns card for the finale will not be much use as its gonna be a marmite ending so i wont be raeding or looking at any spoilers for the remainder of the season.... Altho that 'What they Died for' Episode title... has me really excited!

Can someone post up these ratings? I don't want to go near any site like that

Ok, do not read the following if you don't want to be spoiled. Seriously.

Episode 14 'The Candidate' will see four main cast members die.

Episode 15 will then travel back in time to roughly 28 AD to a young Jacob and young MiB. This episode will predominantly feature their story and nobody elses, or include any of the main cast.

Episode 16 'What They Died For' will explain what the Candidate has to do.

My theory: At present there are 5 Candidates remaining (Sawyer, Jack, Hurley, Kate and one of the Kwons). Since Episode 14 will see four cast members die, we can assume it will be four of the remaining 5, thus leaving 'The Candidate'. Hence episode 16 (in the story's chronology) is called 'What They Died For'.

Could be an emotional rollercoaster here on in... :(

Series finale title has been revealed! It's called...
    The End

A bit underwhelming, but it's only the title so I don't really care.

"It Only Ends Once" would have been the perfect finale title imo.

He was born in 5BC, and is said to have been 'around' 33

I dunno if that warrants a spoiler or not.

Well, I am going to be really surprised if Jacob turns out to have anything to do with Jesus, or if any character has anything to do with him. Its hardly a Jesus and Judas thing!!!

Anyways, I think the last scene in the show is going to Jack (The New Jacob) and Locke (MIB) sitting on a log or on the beach having a similar conversation to when we first saw Jacob and the man in black last season, chatting on the beach and a boat in the distance.

*Cough* eh...Flash Sideways dude... And it would make perfect sense for them to just abandon them now before they make any relevance to the show.

I would be quite happy if they did....

They feel like a waste of time, and I always hate then it cuts to them, to me they just feel like filler, and take away rather than add to the main on island story.

Tis only my opinion, don't attack me! /Guards face

flash back, flash forward flash sideways. Point being how much more do we need to know about them. We are running out of episodes. Do makers have enought time to tie up all the loose ends at this stage?

Thats the thing though. They have to be important if they're spending so much time on them this season. It has to be something more than "They were always destined to meet each other and have their lives connected".

I have a feeling this episode will just suck all the life out of what we were given last week

Im guessing Jacob and MIB have to be given their own episodes. Like I said we know enough about Jin and Sun at this stage. We are running out of time.

Wow, great minds etc. From the first scene of The Incident I thought that 'It Ends Once' would be the title of the final episode.

'The End' is very underwhelming (unless 'The End' turns out to be also the name of a kickass hatch that we haven't scene yet).

'What They Lived For' would also have been a great title as a contrast to the penultimate episode.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,160 ✭✭✭tok9

Has there been a rating for the finale yet? Just curious
