getting a few stitches taken out this sunday and looking forward to getting back to martial arts in a couple of weeks. going to just do a bit of gym work till then but want to make sure my stitches don't open (they're on my back so lil bit awkward!) so anyone got any tips on healing the skin as quickly as possible?!

    Ask a Doctor.
Give them a ring, best people to talk about healing things IMO.

did ask the surgeon and he said rest mainly, he was in a total rush while i was talking to him so didn't really say much else. just wondering if anyone recommends a cream or anything that they felt helped, not professional medical advice mods!

I'm not saying that I just think a doctor, even you GP like, would probably be the man/woman to ask.

Get some Vitamin E capsules (with nothing added like the Cod Liver Oil ones), burst the capsule and spead over the wound. Bit messy but heals up the scar REALLY well.....I should know, have had to do it enough times:(
