Road atlas to feature speed camera spots

Road safety information including the locations of Garda speed cameras, high-incident collision zones, toll motorways and alternatives are displayed in the latest Road Atlas of Ireland published this afternoon by Ordnance Survey Ireland.

The publication, which represents the first time an official atlas has displayed dangerous collision zones and speed cameras in Ireland, was jointly developed with the Ordnance Survey Northern Ireland. It features advice from the Garda and the Road Safety Authority on issues such as driver fatigue, speed control and alcohol limits.

The atlas also includes the full complement of the State’s new motorway network, which is on schedule for completion this year.

Does the ordnance survey do Sat Navs too? :p

That map sounds like an essential piece of kit. All thats missing is the details of where you might find a service station convenient to the Motorways as the icing on the cake.

That would indeed be a handy addition. Especially when your driving in unfamiliar territory. Tourists would find it handy too. Bit worried though that once people know where all the speed camera are they'll take less care where they aren't!
