lamda sensor

Just a quick question, My car failed the NCT and i have to get a new lamda sensor. Its a 2002 opel corsa. I have it booked in with the local mechanic for Monday but he said hes not sure how much it will cost. Does anyone know much a lamda sensor would cost? Is it a big job?

Not a big job at all although how do you know that you need this? The failure could be for a number of reasons.
