Need to figure out some import tax issues

    Hi folks,
I'm looking to importing a small amount of bicycles from China. There is an EU-wide "anti-dumping" duty in place on importing bicycles from China to the not so modest amount of 48.5%. There are exemptions on this in respect to the importation of bicycle parts rather than full bicycles and so on. Judging by my competitors prices, it would seem likely that they are avoiding paying the duty. They may be even be doing so illegally, which I am not prepared to do.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to get the facts straight on this tax and how it applies to me?

If anyone is interested in doing it as a nixer for a reasonable fee, I'd be open to offers but please note my budget is very tight.

    Regards
    Cian
