Chef Sells Wife's Cheese: Would you eat it?

Would you eat Cheese made from Human Milk? :D <--- Cheesy grin.

This mad man in New York served Cheese made from his wife's breast milk in his restaurant:
A Manhattan chef recently began serving cheese made from his nursing wife’s milk.

Legendary critic Gael Greene samples the now-banned fromage.

I’ll confess I didn’t race to Klee Brasserie, a Manhattan restaurant run by Daniel Angerer, who once defeated Bobby Flay on Iron Chef, when I read that he was serving customers cheese made from his wife’s breast milk.

Once committed, however, to rendering the official verdict on the first restaurant dish made from human protein—unless you count Sweeney Todd—I ran into a little snag called the New York Health Department.

After a story in yesterday’s New York Post, they’ve apparently forbidden the chef from not only making his breast milk cheese in the restaurant, but having it on Klee’s premises, much less serving it.

That ultimate taboo in my head, the cheese arrives. I contemplate the tiny cream-colored square—doll size, barely enough to satisfy Minnie Mouse. It rides in on two house-made pickle rounds nesting on a thin slice of bread. I take… a bite. Eeeeew!.

Well, yes .. but only from certain women who I will name on thread.
I worked in a cheese plant for a few months and I didn't eat much of the stuff during that period. The smell inside the place is woeful. I do really like cheese, but human cheese and the thought makes me sick tbh.

Same here, if Cheryl Cole herself was sending me a batch, I wouldn't go near it.

So you're going to start another NON-cheesy thread now? What is it with you and 'cheese' anyway.:pac:

I don't see what the fuss on this thread is about. Don't babies drink it and they're fine .

Not saying I'd ever try the stuff myself, but i can think of a lot worse.....for example; black pudding made from menstrual blood!

I personaly believe all cheese to be the work of satan, this is no more or less disgusting than cheese made from any other milk. After all if it's perfectly good enough for his baby to drink this milk, then why not his customers? Sick cheese eating freaks that they are!

    No, f*** no.
Hell, I'd give it a go..
At least it's milk designed for our species.

I'm not one of those lactose intolerant folks or anything..
Quite the opposite actually, I love dairy products.

But... Did you ever think about it?

What were drinking, eating, churning, putting in tea and on cornflakes, giving to children to take to school...
It's milk, produced by a mother for its young from a completely different fricking species...

One with four legs and spots...
    One That we EAT ffs...

There is no bloody way that the human body is made for that.
We've probably had to evolve slightly so that all the bacteria in cows cheese isn't fatal to us.

Ok.. Cheese from a human might seem a bit gross because it is milk coming from a woman.
But at least it's a female of the same bloody species as us.

The bacteria in most cheeses is fine as the Milk is pasteurized first and in fact it's bacteria when unpasteurized, actually has supposed probiotic health benefits.

Most Parmesan cheese is unpasteurized for instance.

I get an unpasteurized Goats Cheese on occasion (StTola.ie) from Superquinn, damn good stuff

I can't eat Cow's Milk cheese as I have an immune reaction to the protein in it (Casien) triggers severe Asthama attacks, miss the ice cream :(

    Psychological I guess.

I'd drink milk from one of Angelina Jolie's bewbs though.

EXACTLY WHAT MAKES IT SO REVOLTING!!!

I can drink cows milk and eat eggs BECAUSE they are from a different species. I don't want anything to do with the bodily products of another woman. Just. NO.

I have a mate who is highly allergic to Cheese.
    Other dairy is fine..
But cheese will actually put him in a coma.
Last time he had it he was out for three weeks and nearly died.

Listening to him order a pizza is fantastic.

    "Hello Dominos"
"Ummm yea can I get a medium tomato biscuit with peperoni and chicken"
"Ohh it's you again *muffled laughter*"

I used to be bad but can tolerate a little ever so often now.

When I was young it was a nightmare, anaphylactic shock and your adrenals shut down.

My chosen woman is the one the only Cheryl Cole. Considering all the other completely unhygienic and downright disgusting things I would do to Cheryl in the name of sexual gratification, I believe eating some of her cheese wouldnt be outside the realms of possibility!

The fact we have no problem drinking cow's milk but recoil at the thought of drinking the milk produced by our own species is a strange one - possibly to do with human female breasts being sexualised to the degree they are.

Meh, I'd probably give it a try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 631 ✭✭✭jimmyendless

    No, f*** no.
I can't find any link but apparently hundred of years ago if a fighter got an abdominal wound, they would feed him breast milk as it is the easiest thing to digest. I also saw a painting somewhere of this man that was being starved in captivity and when his daughter would visit, he would drink her milk to stay alive. Its the only substance that is completely designed for our consumption and digestion.

I agree with the last poster, the sexualisation of the breast clouds the waters.

Despite all my jokes about it. I have never had the pleasure or the want to try breast milk. However I have been fortunate enough to try milupa (Its amazing how you react to milk spilling down your arm at 4 in the morning testing for heat) and if breast milk tastes any where near as bad I would settle with a cow any day...

btw. If the only alternative was breast milk. I have this strange image of a load of women lined up in a milking parlor..

#bold boy you will go to hell now....

If you're a man, you've probably consumed at least some of the diverse bodily fluids a woman produces already.

This one just happens to be nutritious too! ;)
