All three? try all 8, this did not need 7 sequels!

Yeah, there's a lot more very awful sequels, but if you just want the first 3 then there's this box set for 12.99. Play.com offer free postage as well.

Ah Hellraiser, if you havent seen it, its a film that you will have the wrong expectations for because of the sequels.

In the sequels it's all about Pinhead but in the original its not.

Not really true, Pinhead only features heavily in parts two , three, and Four.

In the original film and the final four films he is used very sparingly.

Not quite sure how I feel about the remake though.

The proposed new "bloody" look for Pinhead has not grown on me, nor has the idea of his outfit becoming white in colour.

My brother bought that boxset years ago, the 1st one is the only one worth watching. Even then, the film wasn't particulary great!

The DVD commentary for the 2nd film is pretty funny for a dreadful movie(I was bored! :pac:)

The 3rd...............heh heh, what early 90's rubbish that was! One sentinel fires CDs from his mouth.................yea!

Still, though, the 1st has my favourite character with his chattering teeth! *tac tac tac tac*

The only film of any merit is Hellraiser which was written & diected by Clive Barker based on his novella, "The Hellbound Heart".

    In 1994
The South Bank Show did a program on Barker & Hellraiser. Douglas Bradley, who has played Pinhead in possibly all Hellraiser Films was part of a theatrical group that Barker himeself was involved in prior to Hellraiser and they used to perform shows of The Hellbound Heart.

I watched both Hellbound - Hellraiser 2 and also Hellraiser 3 and they were/are complete crap.

Hellraiser showed that when you have the writer of the story actually directing that a good film can be created irrespective of the budget.

No that is a shot of how they are thinking of making Pinhed look in the remake. The shots were in Fangoria, along with a description of his new look outfit in white.

Hellraiser is a modern day horror classic. Its sequel is,IMO,one of the best sequels to any horror movie. The third kinda third pinhead into a characature (sp?) but did feature some cool special effects. The following sequels were nothing but blatant cash ins.
