Volvo FN accelerator problem

I have a Volvo FN 10 parked up for about three months. I just started it today and the accelerator will not rev the engine. I can rev the engine using the cruise control. My understanding is that engaging either the accelerator or the brake would over ride the cruise control. Any ideas why my accelerator would just give up…

You mean an FM?

The pedal can give trouble in these. If you go into the on board computer it will give you fault codes. Murphys in Galway are very reasonable to deal with and one of the lads on the floor might confirm the pedal is faulty going by the codes you get.
