    Dear Seamus,

I’m working (with Paddy and others) on a project for the Western Development Commission that could be of benefit to you or some of your partners. We’re offering fully-funded consultancy support to a selection of biomass energy projects in the Western Region, see link to application below to express your interest (before 19th March).

We are inviting your expression of interest (EOI) to be supported as a pilot project under the EU Northern Periphery Programme RASLRES, which is managed and co-funded by the Western Development Commission.

This EOI primarily entails receiving expert consultancy services to support the delivery of sustainable local wood energy supply chains in the western region (includes counties Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and Clare).

Please see attached document “wood energy support services_project info” (pdf) which explains the background and approach to supporting pilot projects in the Western region.

I have also attached the recently agreed priorities for selecting pilot projects.

To express your interest please take the time to fill out the EOI form here http://tinyurl.com/RASLRES-App.

Up to 4 pilot projects are to be supported under the project. We anticipate closing this initial call for projects by the 19th March or as soon as 4 pilots are identified, which are compatible with the objectives of the RASLRES project.

If you want to send this onto others please feel free – that would be great!

    Regards

    Steve
