It's a Literary Agency, and I don't know if they are reputable because I sent a submission to them and never received a response.

If you mean The Book Bureau in Wicklow, then yeah, they're legit. They're listed on the Publishing Ireland site, which AFAIK has vetted all the agencies they list on the site:

Google doesn't turn up anything nasty about them either - they've been around a while, so if they were scamming people you could bet that someone somewhere would have blogged about it.

I hope it's a silly question, but did you check before you submitted that they are still accepting whatever you have written? Or that the person you addressed your cover letter to is still with them? If you've sent them something totally unsuitable, it will be binned.

    Yes, I did check. :)

Ger, who runs the Book Bureau, is my agent and has stuck by my side offering words of encouragement through rejections!
    Top class lady ;)

Also, I convinced her to read my manuscript by calling her up and telling her about it and asking her if it was okay to send it on.
Otherwise, I'm sure it would proably never have been read :D

Memnock, what's the name of your book?

    Eileen - Lesser Sins.

Funnily enough, I looked for yours in the ABNA list, but couldn't find an Eileen there.

I think you're each in a different section of the competition.

Eileen - I think I might have seen the other of "fairies" on the ABNA forums, didn't realise that was you. Will check out your excerpt soon.

No worries at all ;) She has good links with paula in poolbeg, and tries her first with everything. If you have something suitable for poolbeg, ger's def the lady to go to.

Good luck anyways, it's a tough ould game!!! x
