Hi Guys I want to start a new business and want to set up a website. Saw the link below on another thread and was very impressed with pricing and website designs. However I would like to get this from an irish company if possible but pricing would have to be comparable as have very little cash. Does anyone have any recommendations for irish companies that can provide this service.
The site will need a shopping cart and would also like an adwords campaign and seo.It would also need to be easy for me to update.
    Would appreciate any feedback

The link you gave only provides information on hosting the website.

They do offer web design packages with what looks like Joomla as the system in the background.

It's not a very professional approach to launching your business online, but it's a start none-the-less.

Hosting companies like Blacknight (www.blacknight.ie) offer hosting with a system that would allow you to install Joomla - then if you skill up a little, it's not too difficult to find a Theme that will suit your requirements.

What do you requirements for you website OP? Brochure type website or interactive content? Hosting is competitive these days and with a little effort/research you can create your own, install a cms with integrated shopping cart. What type of payment methods will you accept etc?

If your only starting out online and aren't sure of the longterm viability of your business idea then definately keep it cheap to start with.

Get a hosting account with the likes of Digiweb, its something like 40 quid for a year and a good domain name.

Then take a look at creloaded.com you can buy a shopping cart there that you can install and own for 150 dollars ( they have a free version but the next level up is a better option).

Have a look at templatemonster.com then for a template which average about 140 dollars, I'm pretty sure you'll find something there thats near enough to your type of business model/idea.

My advice from personal experience is keep it cheap to start with in the early days, if you start making money its very easy to upgrade and get a fancy design with all the bells and whistles later on. If things dont work out then you'll have lost at most 300 euro.

I agree 100% with the post Andy_Black linked to, if your going to fail best do it quickly and cheaply.

But best of luck with your new venture :)

    I'd recommend http://www.serif.com/webplus/

Its fairly cheap(u can get some V.good deals on ebay, don't buy direct), nice n easy to use and u get decent results with it. I've been using it for about 2 years now and have done a few websites with it and am fairly happy... With that software and a hosting package you'll be online for about €100
