I hated it when i went there. THe girl didn't even use any gloves and as it was my first time i didn't know what to expect. It was horrible and I got really bad ingrown hairs after. I have never gone back.

She was nice enough but it was very uncomfortable. I couldn't believe she didn't put on gloves so that alone made me very ill at ease, but i thought it was normal. Maybe it is?

I've been going to Brazilia for a couple of years and I find them great. Very clean, good service and the girl I go to always wears gloves. The only complaint is that I always found it hard to get an appointment in town. I go to the one in Sandyford now and have no problems.

I think if you trim a little bit before you go in it might make things a bit easier. And if you're worried about it hurting maybe take a painkiller an hour beforehand - although I've always found it fine. Afterwards a bit of tea tree oil cream and you're grand. Don't buy this in the salon though they charge a bomb - think you can get it in Boots.

I've gone there and I thought they were great. The wax they use is almost painless. Almost now....not quite! The therapist I had just got on with it, no chit chat. But to be honest I'd prefere that, and there's a telly in the room so no awkward silance and a good distraction

I've been going to the one in Sandyford also. I don't remember them wearing gloves, but maybe i'm just not observant enough....

I find them really professional, nice and the place is most importantly clean. The waxing doesn't hurt as much as other places either!

I wouldn't worry about the girl not wearing gloves... I would assume she would be washing her hands straight away anyway after having her hands down there!

hey everyone, just letting you know i thought the place was great, really clean and friendly and after getting talking to the girl about her training and learning to use that specific wax she told me that they are actually told not to wear gloves because of the oils that are involved and feeling it on the skin etc. so they have hand sanitisers instead. id recommend it to anyone!

the brazilian or the type of wax?
honestly, ive had my legs done plenty of times and what i think is called a bikini wax- just a tidy up around the 'bikini edge', sorry for the graphic description!- and i have to say the brazilian was nothing compared to my legs! piece of cake! cause the legs is done in such large sections its alot worse! go get it done!
the wax seems less painful than other waxes too. and she alternated between different waxes for different areas and depending on how coarse the hair was too.
they're really nice and friendly there too!

I recommend this lotion called Bikini Zone after waxing or shaving and its brilliant. No ingrown hairs ever after using it.

You can get it in Shaws, I've not seen it for sale anywhere else. Its an american product afaik.

I got one today from a lady who trained with them and now has her own saloon (much cheaper btw). It was not sore at all with the wax she uses. Tweezing my eyebrows is sorer. It's a fantastic job too, completely smooth and no rashy looking redness.

I don't think she could grip the wax tightly enough if she wore gloves for the whole time.

Oh yeah I forgot to add that. I've gotten waxed plenty times at various salons and the beautician has never worn gloves! I wouldn't expect them to either.

Been to 4 different types of salons to get Brazilians, none of them wore gloves on both hands. Two girls wore gloves on one hand but that's it.

Brazilia are good if you tell them it's your first time, girl I got was very nice, made me feel comfortable, talked to me to take my mind off it and gave me advice which I found very useful. I took painkillers before going in but don't have to any more cos I'm used to it now.

Once you've got a Brazilian you have to keep getting them done. I cannot stand it when the hair grows back TBH.

i didnt bother taking painkillers and it was grand, apart from the legs!
but i was left with some patches of stubble but im assuming its from shaving all the time before the wax, like the next session will get the hairs that were too short last time. something to do with three cycles of hair?? but correct me if im wrong?
