    this one came hobbling towards me once i started calling her nailed her at 160y . dropped her on the spot with 55gr v-max.

    nice going paulo!..dropped a three legger myself one time, he was in great condition too, although I called that one in the morning at first light.:)

    Why didn't you wait? What's the closest you have every gotten one in?

    I got one is literally close enough to touch. Only problem, I just couldn't pull the trigger - no sport.

    Never ceases to amaze me just how smart and then stupid they can be.

    i'v had them come right up to me but i usually try to shoot them before they get too close.

    i'v shot them between the eyes out as far as 220y only when conditions allow, but i usually hit them around 100-150. or as soon as i am sure of a clean kill. no point letting them to close and then getting spooked and never to be seen again.

    i agree they can amaze me how easy they are called in, but its easy to see the ones that have bin lamped/called before and just turn and run as soon as the light hits them

    they are no fools and are very quick to link a light to bad news.;)

    Was out lampin with me dad a few years back, picked up a bunny in da lamp, checked around and saw a fox stalkin it. dad nailed the fox with a .22 mag pill. when we got to it it just had three legs, its anus haning out its butt and was really skiny.poor charlie!!

    i'd say you did him a favor from the sounds of that, the one i got was in good condition and apart from the rather large hole i put in her seamed healthy:D.
