Sarkozy copping off with a minister? It's all very sexy, French and Bond-esque. In Ireland the best we can hope for is Cowan and Harney.

    We need sexier politicians.

Some people are never appreciative of what they have at home.

Sarkozy is possbily the most fantastic man ever. He's a president.. of France no less. He's married to a ridiculously good looking woman and he's STILL sleeping with other women. And nobody wants him impeached or anything, he's just too much of a legend, gives a knowing smile and on with foregin policy. :pac:

She's probably just rationalizing that sleeping with two shortarses is the same as sleeping with one tall bloke.

Well neither of them have shown a commitment to monogamy in the past (esp. when they had children with their partner) so i'm not surprised in the slightest by this. Can't see either of them ever having a proper loving relationship. Old habits and whatnot....

I was thinking about Pat Carey dropping the finger on Mary Coughlan. I threw up a lot

Have they ever claimed to be in a monogomous relationship?

Wouldn't be the first couple to have an open marriage and no doubt they wouldn't be the last...

France's flamboyant, diminutive President and his younger pop star wife are allegedly both having affairs - according to some of France's most reputable webzines.

A lot is wrong with this headline.

,,,particularily given that reporting on extra-marital affairs is considered beyone the pale in France. I think it was Le Monde that showed a picture of Mitterands daughter by his mistress after he was dead, and they had to close down for a day and come back with a full front page apology.....

Has Sarkozy always been that stupid or has he practiced? If he doesnt want Carla anymore I'll gladly step up to the challenge of keeping her happy ;o)

Hmmm...Lets see two members of the French/Italian cultural and political elite having affairs...gee who'd a thunk it? To be honest, if they weren't at it, I'd be looking for a stewards enquiry...and ultimately who feckin' cares? What consenting adults get up to in the bedroom or indeed the Elysee palace, for that matter, is nobodies business but theirs.

Sarkozy's a cheeky fecker alright. Apparently he even had the nerve to ask the GAA for a private box at Croker to see the recent Ireland v France world cup qualifier. Negotiations broke down when the GAA informed him that they didn't have any boxes available but that they could offer him a small stepladder.

Sarkozy has been in a long-term, loving relationship with himelf for over 50 years.

In France, you get married at the town hall, and the mayor officiates. Aparently when Sarkozy (married to his first wife), was mayor of Neuilly-sur-Seine, he officiated at the first marriage of the woman who would become his second wife.

It's interesting that everybody says infidelity is ok in France, but when his second wife skipped off to America with the guy she was having an affair with, there was a big show of a reconciliation between her and Sarko just before the presidential election (It was obviously a big show, when she couldn't bring herself to go vote in the second round), and that she left him for good not long after he was elected.

If infidelity was so ok, then when did he have to pretend to be the big family man? Or is it only infidelity on the man's side that's ok?
