Bootcamp Ireland Challenge

    Hey Guys,

I finally decided to give Bootcamp Ireland a shot last week when my mate agreed to give it a bash with me and I got a discount voucher that got €50 off for me and a friend so I thought now is the time to do it.:)

Voucher is here if anyone else wants to use it: http://www.onoffer.ie/offers/905_two-new-members-join-50-off.aspx :)

I can honestly say that I had no idea what I was in for!!:o I am going to keep you all updated on how we are getting on for anyone else like me that was interested in Bootcamp and thinking about checking it out.

Anyway before I started I weighed almost 12 stone (I am a guy, 25 y/o and about 5'9), did a small bit of cycling but in general was/am very unfit and unmotivated and have a stressful office-based sales job so regularly go home annoyed  and wanting to veg on the couch to unwind hence the lack of gym motivation.

    Good God thats hardcore!!:eek::eek::eek:

Okay so I SERIOUSLY underestimated the intensity of this Bootcamp gig and this was only week 1 of 8!:o

Started off with a warm-up (thought I would collapse in the middle of it) of about a million laps and then got stuck in to a ridiculously hard-core circuit of squats, sit-ups, jumping jacks and more that were absolute torture by the end of it. I knew I wasn't in good shape but had a strange confidence that I would be reasonably good at this.... that was shattered after about 5 mins!!

There were about 30 in the class, its all outdoors and people can go at their own pace although the fact that people are running faster and are fitter is a great motivation to push yourself harder. The trainor was great, some shouting etc involved but he wasnt a **** head in doing it and you do find yourself running that bit harder when they do shout.

The hour absolutely flew in and when I say I was in a heap Im not joking! Still I felt great after it and can honestly say that I felt better after doing it especially after the second day cause I went with a pounding headache before the class and that was totally gone after the warm up.

This is WAY better than going to the gym for me. There is great banter with everyone there and it keeps you going when you are totally goosed. Im loving this so far and feel great after the first week.

Ps there are a couple of seriously hot birds in the class too ;) and im sure they are saying the same about me ..... erm yeah okay maybe not then:D

Yo Yo! I took this up a few weeks ago! 2 nights a week! Now, I'd been gyming the bejaysus out of it since christmas and was doing ok weight wise. Thought this would be very easy!

Couldnt have been further wrong!! WOWSERS! It just gets harder every week! It's only an hou but there is no messing about it's hardcore from first minute to 57th minute than a warm down!

The lads on the football team are wondering where the fitness has come from! The Bootcamp is miles harder than any training so would recommend it to anyone looking to increase both sharpness and fitness!

Cheers for the voucher S.C. WIll use next time. Have they to be used before a certain date?

Hey Limerick Lass and Clean Sheet!

Think you can use them vouchers for any 8 week session and I think you can join in at anytime and go for 8 weeks like u dont really need to go at start of course cause every night is a new routine. Voucher was great cause got €50 off for me and my buddy.

L.L seriously give Bootcamp Ireland a shot if you wanna improve cardio and endurance especially!

2nd week was even tougher than first but really loving it now getting better and am already seeing results. Will have to do a weigh in now soon and let you all now but im feeling great for it.

Last Wednesday's class was great banter the trainer was giving it loads at one stage he even said "I hate you guys" I responded with an incredible burst of speed VERY nearly over-taking the 90 year old woman out walking her dog!! ;)

2 weeks down 6 to go im equally dreading and looking forward to Mondays session. Seriously though for any1 thinking about giving this a go as a way to get fit it is WAY better than a gym workout and much more fun ... just be prepared to put the work in... oh and if your instructor is called Andy ... fake some sort of injury and go another day ha ha :p

    Hey guys,

Almost at the half way point now and Im LOVING Bootcamp. Last night was a great laugh with games etc as well as the usual running and circuits so it kept it different.

I STILL havent had the same trainor twice so you never ever know what to expect other than a bloody tough workout!!  Its always challenging and Ive lost about 6lbs so far but have massively improved my cardio fitness ... at the start it was tough to even keep going in the warm ups!!

Its also great to have a friend there to keep you going and have a laugh about (mostly cursing the instructors for shouting "one more lap") so I would definately recommend going with a friend and using the voucher to get €50 off as its much easier with a mate. http://www.onoffer.ie/offers/905_two-new-members-join-50-off.aspx

    Go forth and ENJOY!!!

+1 I reckon savage cabbage is on commission considering most of his posts have been about bootcamp Ireland:D Id like to try doing an outdoor bootcamp sometime, but only if it incorporated a lot of different exercises / resistance stuff .. a lot of them seem to be just sprinting around a field, which could be done for free

HAS to be on commission. It's like reading the script for a QVC segment. WOW! Bootcamp! And it's on special! Go go go! Buy buy buy!
