    Hi All
I have been lurking in here for awhile , enjoying and picking up tips. i would like to get fit and ideally lose approx 14 lbs. i seem to be able to carry weight without it being too noticable but i am over weight.
I would play golf all day for you but other than that I am quite a lazy person. I have been looking at gyms in Cork to join and have come across K2NY in Glanmire. Has anyone used it ? Or does anyone have any opinion on it as gym for a novice. Many thanks.

Went of a look around K2NY in Glanmire and was very impressed with it. I have now joined up and start my training on Tues. It is run on a personal training system , initally 3 times a week. 30 min sessions. with 2:1 . sometimes if its quiet it may be 1:1 .I have had my assessment , measurements etc , and quite a detailed talk on diet. The diet recommended is different to any I have done previously. It is a Low GI diet. I am used to counting points (weight watcher system ) and checking saturated fats. This one will take a little getting used to. Also eating every 3 hours or so is a bit alien.
I am going to give it a good shot and hope to see results in the recommended 12 week period , diet coupled with the exercise programme will I hope set me on the right track.

well how r you getting on? i joined K2NY (in glanworth) last summer and in about 5 months lost 2.5 stone. its tough (and expensive lets be honest) but totally worth it! ive pretty much gone back to eating as normal and have kept the weight off. i am a LOT fitter now tho and do a lot of cycling and jogging since K2NY but just wanted to wish you the best of luck!
