Marathons in April August and October realistic?

    Hi all,
My first marathon was Dublin last year, easy going, 4.5hrs. I'm doing a marathon in Antwerp in April, i planned on doing Dublin in October til I heard that there's one planned for August in Galway. Ideally i'd like to do all three.
I'd like to get around Antwerp in 4.15hrs. Galway in 4.00 and Dublin in 3.50.
I reckon it's not too unrealistic, putting in the miles and the fact that by August i should be down another stone and a half in weight.
I read on a thread earlier that 2 marathons a year was plenty, but surely the couple of months inbetween, keeping fitness levels up it should be all good?
    Any comments appreciated!

My first mara was Dublin in Oct 05, then Paris April 06, Longford August 06 and Dublin again in Oct 06. I PB'd in them all, going from a similar time to yourself down to 3:37 IIRC

So yes, it can be done but needs a bit of careful planning of training & recovery.

My problem with that idea would be that August is in the summer.

I did my first marathon last April. Took a bit to recover and then did Helsinki In August. Managed Dublin also and got Pb's in all of them.
I think you can keep your training ticking over once you have got the first one done. Dont over do it until you have fully recovered and you should have no problem. ENJOY

PS whats the marathon in Galway you mention?

Thanks all for your responses, i'll give it a whirl, if i can stay injury free i look forward to knocking 40-45mins off my marathon time in a year!
That website is only up and running today, looks good, i've used pretty much that route myself a few times before. It'll be great to do one that passes by where ya live, twice!

Might make a pleasant change from some of your trips earlier in the year. You must have felt like you had travelled around the world twice by the time you got back from Seville!
