    Hi all,

(Note to Mods first, I am not selling the IT equipment, Im trying to help a fellow business friend to wind up and find homes for their kit, I will not profit from the transaction, I will be placing an add on adverts, I just think they would suit a new start up and there are plenty of those here!)

Ok, so a friend of mine has to close up shop and has two Business PC's and a Fax machine that they would like to sell. They are Business Optiplex PC's with Office and XP Pro. The have warranty left on them and are about 12-18 months old. I have spec, if any new start up is looking for PC's but cant afford new new these are the business. PM me with interest and Ill give you details. As I say Id like to help my friend out and I think a new owner would get good use from these.

    Cheers

They sound older than you suggest if they only have XP. On the plus side, any buyer can check the service tags on the Dell web site and get the exact ship date, original specs and warranty details.

You can still find the odd XP machine on Dell these days as well.

After checking the tags they have 320 daysnext business day warranty left. The client didnt realise there age. That said they are a solid PC and with warranty they are worth it. they will be sold reinstalled and with service pack 3 and 12 months of eset Antivirus. As I say Im not gaining so just helping a friend.. Im very tempted to take one myself for the office.

Please add the link to your adverts thread in here so that all communication regarding sale can take place in the appropriate area - i.e not here.

Hey Gone Shootin, I was Pming people the link as I am not involved in the sale I was generally discussing it here. thought it might also spark a debate on new vs second hand equipment for new start ups but no one picked up on that!!!!

Optiplex are a business PC & it's highly unlikely Dell shipped many with Vista on them. Vista was & still is a horrific OS. You can still buy these PC's today with XP Pro.
It's the only OS most businesses will use.
They're probably the most rock solid PC you can but. Rarely have I heard of a problem with them.

    Good luck with the sale!
