Cycling Shorts

So what dya's all think bout cycling shorts? I've seen a few of them on the catwalks and they seem to be in some high street stores too. Tipped as the new leggings....I'm still undecided, they look good on some of the models on the cat walk. I'd love to hear what you guys think.

My feeling now is... no. But who knows? Maybe when I see them on and around for a few weeks, I'll get used to the idea and it'll grow on me. For now though, just no. Reminds me of being a kid.

Yeah, they just remind me of when I was 5 and I teamed them with my Donald Duck t-shirt. Just wanted to see what people thought of them really because I'm not convinced. Yet. Because I wasn't mad about hareems when they came out but now I'm into it as long as they're not toooooo crazy!!

Hehe, early 90's with a big baggy (possibly neon-coloured) t-shirt and brightly coloured Dunnes cycling shorts...

I had some classic bicycling-shorts-and-oversized-tshirt combinations about 15 years ago. But I really don't want to revive them. That being said, I was totally opposed to leggings when they came back in too. But I really can't imagine wearing cycling shorts with my 23 year old, overly muscly, pale, pasty legs.

I think I'd rather wear a good old fashioned skirt/dress without shorts underneath (unless dress/skirt was uber short & you needed hotpants so as to keep your dignity) I just wanted to see what the general consensus on the topic was

Just wait until someone comes on to ask if they should wear their cycling shorts with braces...

I've cycled big holes into the crotches of all my nice jeans so I mostly wear dresses with tights now. Cycling shorts are ok if you're cycling for leisure/exercise, but not if you're going somewhere because they look awful.
