Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,
In the past few months we've had to turn on the immersion to heat the water for a shower even tho the heat may have been on for hours! Since then, the immersion light on the switch won't go on and the immersion itself has to be switched on and off a few times before it kicks in. Then after about half hour the water in the shower will be too hot for a few minutes and then go to freezing. Normal showers have not been had for months, can't afford plumber at the moment, please help :(

Sounds like you may have a faulty motorised valve, closed valve or air lock on primary circuit.

Can you post a picture of your hotpress?

I had a neighbour in to look at it last night and he was quite concerned with how hot the actual switch panel for the immersion was. So he told me to leave it off and call a plumber immedialtely. He's coming round this morn, thanks for your help anyway
