This is very true!! Joe If you wanna compete i can match you on my show. Im matching at the minute for my Amateur show in Antrim May30th. And my pro show June 26th in Belfast.
On a side note is the lad Graham Ochiltree still training with you?

no chance marty the last time i put 3 kickboxers on your show the fights where turned around with out me being asked, and i sent an ulsterbus load of supporters up when i phoned up looking the boys to be paid out of the percenage of ticket sales i was told no they where amature fights if was not told that at the time or the boys would not have fought. plus when i was helping cage contender set up in downpatrick you went out of your way to discourage it among the mma community of ireland. that was the thanks i got for promotiing your fights in my area and bring up supporters need i say more

So thats a no then Joe?

This is the first ive heard of any discrepancies you had with our show.
I dont know exactly what you mean by "turned around".
Its my understanding that amateur Kickboxers in ireland, like Boxers, do not get paid. The opponents your fighters fought never got paid and never asked. You as the manager should have negotiated this at the time of match making. I do this for my pro MMA fighters and if the deal isnt right i dont agree to it. Simple.

With regards to Cage Contender that subject is neither here nor there. I was unaware you were associated with the Cage Contender promotion team. I put across my views on The first CC show and have discussed it in length with the Promoter. The show has now changed its format and i have no problems with it. Infact Martin Begley is the Cage Contender Lightweight Champion. You seem to imply i complained about it because you were involved. Like i said before i didnt know you were. I had problems with the format of the show and thought it was bad for MMA in Ireland. Not anymore.

    Thanks for your time.

first of all i was the guy who asked you for the cage, so you knew i was helping the guys out. second the fights turned around means that the order of who was fighting first was changed without us being told as a result a non warmed up fighter went out and pulled an injury that he still has today. third im not a manager your DA asked me for fighters since we are both graded by the same instructor and competitions where new to us an element of trust on my behalf was given to your promotions team.
for 4 weeks i asked for the rules i was told Thai rules all kicks above the waist when we got there we where told different. i was told 16oz gloves when we got there it was 14oz our guys where told to go up the night before to get weighed costing time and money but there were guys getting weighed in on the night
but marty we had this discussion last year when you where down in Newcastle last summer i put it down to a bad experience i was just surprised you had the brass to ask me for fighters
my guys will be fighting in the next cage contender because mark and john are good at what they do
all the best on your shows but no thanks

This is true. Of that there is no dispute. But i was also contacted by John Ferguson who asked me to deal directly with him not you.
second the fights turned around means that the order of who was fighting first was changed without us being told as a result a non warmed up fighter went out and pulled an injury that he still has today.

I dont recall exactly how the event went as it was so long ago and ive had others since, but these things happen in fight nights ,an experienced Martial Artist like yourself should know this. If there was a problem on the night why not say?
third im not a manager your DA asked me for fighters since we are both graded by the same instructor and competitions where new to us an element of trust on my behalf was given to your promotions team.for 4 weeks i asked for the rules i was told Thai rules all kicks above the waist when we got there we where told different. i was told 16oz gloves when we got there it was 14oz our guys where told to go up the night before to get weighed costing time and money but there were guys getting weighed in on the night

I dont get what you mean here. Do you think these events were done on purpose against you? Why would i do that?
but marty we had this discussion last year when you where down in Newcastle last summer i put it down to a bad experience i was just surprised you had the brass to ask me for fighters

I remember bumping into you outside a pub in Newcastle Joe. I told you why i didnt want to work with CC and that my cage was unavailable because it was in for maintenance. U never mentioned your problems above. Saying you were surprised i had the "brass" to ask for fighters is just bitter. I am a promoter. Thats what i do. You have the problem here not me you could just have said no. And for the record i wasnt asking you for fighters i was simply saying if YOU wanted to try your JKD in competition i would happily help YOU out to get a bout. The question about Graham was just what it was. Is he still with you? I dont want to have him on my shows just yet.
my guys will be fighting in the next cage contender because mark and john are good at what they do
all the best on your shows but no thanks

Again this is just bitter. If you dont want to fight just say no. I dont care its nothing to me. And i know that John and Mark are good at what they do...... someday i hope im as good as them.

    Thanks for your time.

Some JKD people do compete in a range of tournaments eg MMA,and others.
I have trained fighters to compete in tournaments of various kinds.
Some don't want to compete at all.
