EI109 - PreClearance at Dublin

    Hi.
I will shortly fly from Dublin to JFK on EI109 , departure 15.30.
I know from earlier threads and other sites that this flight used not use immigration pre-clearance in Dublin. However, the AerLingus site says that flights departing before 16.00 use the facility. Also, in the past I think EI109 used leave later, maybe 17.00.
So, really, I'm wondering if anybody has taken this flight recently, say in the last two months , who would know ?

Also, does this flight have individual back of seat TVs ?
    Thanks !

flew out on EI0105 recently and back on EI0108 and both has seatback TV system with thousands of songs a lot of games, 20 or 30 TV shows and 12 or so movies. It was pretty cool. Beware though they switch it off 20 mins or so from landing, so make sure you time the movies right! A fair bit of overlap over and back though. EI0105 was an early flight and it cleared immigration in Dublin.

Went on the 109 around Christmas and we didn't do pre-clearance in Dublin

As far as I know you will have to go through the immigration at JFK.

All Aer Lingus planes now have in-flight entertainment.

Do they go home to America, or are they actually Irish people?

They're American and based here in Ireland.

Just to close this out and for the benefit of anybody else looking for info. on EI109, indeed Immigration is done in JFK. In my case, the Q was about 30 minutes. The Aer Lingus website incorrectly states that flights before 16.00 are pre-cleared in Dublin.

Also, for those interested ( and as already stated in another thread ), all seats have AVOD ( individual seat-back TVs ) with lots of choice.

Finally, EI staff on the ground and in the air were very pleasant as is usually the case.
