Rith 2010 - Ireland's longest ever relay run

    Rith 2010, Ireland's longest ever relay-race run, will kick-off in Belfast on 9th March and will continue over 9 days until the finalé in Galway City on St Patrick's Day. Runners are welcome to take part. There is no cost involved.

    It is a non-competitive, festive run celebrating the Irish language and culture. We are expecting thousands to take part, all playing their part in running a 1600km relay race around the country.

    9 Stages between 9th March - 17th March

    9 Mar - Stage 1 : Béal Féirste / Belfast City
    10 Mar - Stage 2 : An tIúir / Newry - Rath Chairn, Co. na Mí
    11 Mar - Stage 3 : Baile Átha Cliath / Dublin
    12 Mar - Stage 4 : Nás na Ríogh (Naas) - Cill Chainnigh (Kilkenny)
    13 Mar - Stage 5 : Dún Garbán (Dungarvan) - Corcaigh (Cork)
    14 Mar - Stage 6 : Trá Lí (Tralee) - Luimneach (Limerick)
    15 Mar - Stage 7 : Inis (Ennis) - Oan Mór (Oranmore)
    16 Mar - Stage 8 : Caisleáin an Bharraigh (Castelbar) - Ros Muc
    17 Mar - Stage 9 : Ceathrú Rua - Gaillimh (Galway)

    Details route description and time on www.rith.ie - choose county selection There is no cost and no need to pre-register although we welcome runners to register with us so that we can plan to have runners for certain sections where public participations levels might be low. You can register on "Run with Us" on our website - http://www.rith.ie

    If you want to lead the run, carry the official baton, you or your group can sponsor your own kilometre. See "Buy a Kilometre" on www.rith.ie for availability. The run will be escorted by official support vehicles, stewards, an ambulance and in many places by the PSNI or An Garda Síochána.
