hatching phesants

    i have up around 30 bantams and i was wondering what is the best breed to hatch phesants........




    any advice would be much apprciated:D

    i keep lots of poultry, keeping pheasants myself this year, silkies will hatch just about anything

    Silkies or a standard bantam are fine.

    Find bantams much hardier & cover more chicks.
    I have a fine little breed of em. Coudn't tell you what type they are & every new clutch is different colour.

    It's the strain is important though.
    Some are better layers, some are better for getting broody etc

    I have ones that are fairly wild & get broody handy enough & always roost.
    Good combination for pheasants...
