    i know yeah he was looking for the barcelona v madrid game and the controller says ill have it in a few mins but can give you the Leinster V munster if that helps. also it was the iberia capt behind the air france that was requesting it. as i was working that day lol

    It seems to be part of the controller's duties these days to tabs on the rugby matches. In one 25 min flight there was a couple of updates on the Ireland v Scotland match!. But usually it's the Aer Lingus pilots who like to know. Those Ryanair boys must be soccer fans!:D

    I was flying a couple of weeks ago and I got a score update on the Ireland -v- Wales match. Not a big deal I hear you say. But it was on HF 11300Mhz speaking to Tripoli Information! I asked him and he obviously hadn't a clue what I was on about! But I gave him a web site address and he checked it up and informed me of the score while I was at FL360 somewheres over The Sahara! Some helpful radio operators in Libya!
