Can Irish people claim JA in the UK

I'm currently on the dole here in Ireland, want to sign off and move to London, as I think I'll have a better chance of finding work there. Just wondering if I would be entitled to claim JA over there while looking for work, if I've just moved there? I have some contributions to PRSI in Ireland, but not enough to qualify me for JB here.

You would be entitled to claim their ja which is i think 50 pound a week roughly but you could not transfer over our ja.

Perfect. That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'd prefer to be claiming 50 with a possibility of finding a job, rather than 150, with no such possibility.
