    Hi Guys

I hope you are all well. I have an old version of sage line 50 I bought in 2005/2006 and I have it working on windows xp with no problems. I have tried loading the software on to a pc with windows vista and sage doesnt work right it gives an error about a missing pdf driver. I have now bought a new laptop with windows 7 home premium and Ive tried to load sage onto it and I get the same message as I did with vista.

My question is is there any way I can get rid of this error without havibg to buy new sage software

    or

can I upgrade the windows home premium to windows 7 ultimate and then get windows xp mode.

    cheers

    Hi Shy

This will prevent you outputting anything to PDF but won't stop sage working. You can get updated PDF drivers which should fix this problem

    Regards

    Hi Shy

    read through this http://msmvps.com/blogs/thenakedmvp/archive/2009/03/10/sage-line-50-2009-on-windows-7.aspx

It seems if you go to the amyuni website you can recreate the sagepdfprinter

    Cheers

    Have you installed the software?

If yes then..go to the properties of the icon of Sage in desktop

    then click the compatability tab.

There select the check box for "Run this program as an administrator"

    Hope this works..

    Thanks

Another option is cute pdf, it allows you to "print" the invoice as a pdf,

it is a piece of freeware that allows you to select the cute pdf as the printer and then it saves the document as a pdf, works with anything that you can print.
