Krusty is flying along - a tad over 88 minutes at halfway.
Racoon Queen also going very well at 1:53 at halfway.
    Sharktale is 1:57 at halfway

Not sure of other people's real names, and Barcelona marathon website doesn't let you search by boards.ie username.

Hitting refresh on the Barcelona website waiting for his time to update!! He must be finished now.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,905 ✭✭✭misty floyd

His estimated race position at the various distances is interesting. 5km/10km etc:

    550 537 527 540 552 559 574 481 382 383

Can't see RQ there. I've no Spanish to know how to use the site.

Facebook are the same, you would imagine these sites would know my brain is only big enough for one name per person.

Still no finish time for KC.

Sharktale passed the 30k point in 2:43.
RQ's time still hasn't updated since the halfway point. I hope her problems over the past few weeks haven't caught up with her.

    Brilliant Krusty, well done.

Where exactly do we get these results. I've checked the website and must be blind as I can't see the results section.

I have a cousin doing it so want to see how he did...or is still doing :-)

    never mind...just found it.....doh!

    Sharktale is home in 3:45.

RQ is still going! She passed the 40k point in 4:30.

That's a great second half from Sharktale, 1:48 vs a 1:57 first half.

+1. Barring a disaster he was always going to do it. He really put some great training in and has got his reward.

I'd say he nearly did, he closed a minute on this guy in the last 2 and a bit k, he nearly ran into the back of him!

Brilliant runs by all three, but especially RQ after the illness is great. KC was always going to run well but that was text book on how to prepare, plan and race.

    Fantastic result for Krusty.
    Awesome.
    But who ever doubted him?!!

Sharktale's 1:48 for the second half is up there too in the awesome category.

Disaster of epic proportions. Walked pretty much the whole of the last 11 miles, clearly wasn't well enough to run, alas, there's always next time!

Fair play to finishing, its a credit to you, I'm sure there were others in the same boat who would have given up ;)

Some of my times on the Barcelona site or wrong actually - went through halfway in 1:47, after half way all my times seem right, before that they're all a few minutes off.

Anyone know how The Rook did?

Well done RacoonQueen for finishing the race, considering the weeks leading up to it that was a massive achievement for you. At least now the pressure is off you, so you can rest and get yourself back to full health.
