2009 / 2010 not sure where it fits : "Avatar", while visually stunning, it will look very dated in 10-20 years time, where as "The hurt locker" will still stand up as a great war movie.
Think of "Tron" vs "Apocalypse now”

"The wrestler" was pure self indulgent sh1te
I thought "once" was crap too.

    Amen Brother.
I own Inglorious Basterds on DVD and I want my money back.

I am Tarantino fan and have the origional Inglorious Basterds too. But the 2009 version sucks donkey balls.

Avatar is Dances with Wolves, and they should sue for copyright infraction.

    The Hurt Locker.

Decent film but hardly worth the praise it's getting.

The Hangover - not that it isn't a good movie, it is - but the levels of hype I was hearing from people had me expecting an absolute masterpiece, rather than a fairly solid comedy.

Hurtlocker, definetly overated. Sort of gave me the "is that it" feeling.

Avatar - not bad (can't deny the visual appeal), just amazes me that I've heard so many people refer to it as one of the best films of all time.

    The Hangover

The Hangover - good, but nowhere near worthy of the fantastic accolades it recieved.

    Also, Sherlock Holmes.

Hurt Locker is both over rated and from 2008.

the hangover was well over rated. "best comedy ever"!!!!! i dont think it was even the best i saw that day!!!!!

In America yes, but it was in Irish cinemas in 2009 so is still a valid choice.

The Hangover - Seriously, I cant figure out why this one got so much praise. Wasnt at all funny, just plain daft.

Avatar - This is the king of over rated. While I watched it in the cinema and enjoyed it, it certainly isn't worth all the praise it has gotten. A very standard storyline, very few plot twists, little character development. Extremely good graphics but with budget to match.
And no doubt it will be milked with a few completely pointless and ill thought out sequels/prequels.

I agree, hangover is overrated, however, I was given the extended version for xmas (16 minutes longer) and it's much better than the cinema version.

Also, hurt locker - couldnt agree more

Avatar - ridiculous, the film had been made a million times before. This one just had big blue cats.

    The Hurt Locker - Yawn.

Avatar. Overrated, overhyped. Story is tired, and has been done before better.

Inglorious Basterds. Tarantino is to movies, as Snow Patrol are to music: after a while it's just all the same shit. Nothing new there.

The Hangover - Really can't see how people thought it was funny. If they had showed all the stuff that was happening to them, instead of flashbacks, it might have been enjoyable, but as it was it was crap
The Hurt Locker - Yes it looks good, but nowhere near as good as it is made out to be. I didn't care about any of the characters and didn't care if they lived or died.
