I get the impression that the constant monitoring from the BCI interupted the revenue flow into Honest Daves wallet.

Some of us with long memories remember how Honest Dave charged an eyewatering €3.60 A MINUTE for calls made by fraudulent porn diallers while he was an eircom director.

In yesterday’s statement TV3 said it would consider the introduction of new “interactive services” subject to “viewer demand” and said commercial revenues from such services were used to “fund the constantly increasing output of Irish programming, now accounting for over a third of TV3’s schedule”.

There is more here and here and here and bad as the BCI/BCC were they shut this scam down in less than a year where Comreg tolerated the porn dialler scam for 2 years before they acted.

They should have shut it down within weeks of course.
