I was just browsing the imra website trying to understand what it is about, when i came across the fixtures, the croagh patrick run is that to the top of croagh patrick, the way you would climb it on 31 jul every year?

Open to correction but I believe its from Campbells pub to the top and back. Not for the faint hearted I would think .
The records is around 42/43 mins I think so its up for grabs if your up for it !!!
    I wouldn't do it in that time in a 4x4 ..

The record time by John Brooks is unbelievable. Its from the pub at the bottom where the lane meets the road - pretty much at sea level, to the top by the pilgrims route, around the church and the top and back to the start!

I can't come close to breaking the hour mark :)

Yes it follows the pilgrim path and compared to the some other IMRA races getting lost shouldn't be an isssue.

The race starts at Campells pub, follows the pilgrim path to the top, around the church and back down to finish at the pub again.

It's a gret race but tough and I would recommend it.

What's best about it is the very next day you can run Ben Gorm. I think that's the hardest IMRA race I've done because it's the day after Croagh Patrick and you're in bits from that. Still great fun.

Croagh Patrick's a great race. I would really recommend it. A lot of people stay in Delphi Adventure Centre at a reduced IMRA rate for the weekend (thanks to T Runner for organising this) so it's good craic to have some like minded mentalists together for the weekend.
