Any hotels in Galway you can rent by the hour?

Thinking of surprising my hubby with a daytime tryst but budget wouldn't stretch to paying for a whole night - esp when you can't check in until like 2pm - want to go during a long lunch break. Anyone know of any - or how I could find out if there are any?

It's marriage sex so it's unlikely to be too hot. And the OP has kids, they probably just want to have a kip.

I doubt there's any hotels that you'd want to stay in that do it.

Midweek rates - surely you can get a room in Jury's for cheap enough.

Dont heed the half of them in here they are jealous :p

Doubt there are any hotels that charge by the hour. Put your inventive hat on, and try not to get caught (though that can be fun too LOL)

Ah go on lads. I, for one, think this is a worthy enterprise which deserves the full support of the Boards community. Actually, it's probably the best cause I have seen here in a long time.

Get busy people! Find these two randy birds a cheap bed! Get texting!

    :D

A lot of motels do day rates in the States, but there's obviuosly no market for them here in dear old catholic Ireland

I'd say just slip the receptionist a 20, say you need a room for a while, followed by a series of winks. Don't be alarmed though if he/she decides to join you.

I'd be ****ing alarmed if 'he' decided to join.

If you ring a hotel and ask them to do you a day rate, and tell them what time you will vacate the room by then you'll probably be grand.

Bands sometimes get day rooms in hotels to get a bit of a rest before gigs and then head off on their tour bus and I've seen a tour manager ring and book afternoons in hotels in Dublin with no hassle. I doubt Galway would be too different.

So you could lie and say you're booking it for a band if you don't want them to know you're just a pair of filthy insatiable beasts. ;)

Why, do you know some particularly ugly receptionists? :P

Fair play to ya OP. Neck like a jockies bollix ya have. No way would I be able to march up the receptionist and ask for a room for an hour. NO WAY.

Anyway, I'd imagine it wouldn't be all that much cheaper since - no doubt - they're going to have to wash the sheets arfter ya :pac:

In Detroit you can do rent a hotel room for €10 per hour. However it works out cheaper if you just buy the hotel.

I know of one place that you can rent by the hour, won't mention the name of the place, but their number is 091 895 874.
