Is this for Irish stores only? I'm seeing a lot of good prices for the game on Gamestracker.com. They're even listing the limited edition.

Called game told €55 for L.E . Told them of XV only been €50 , he said he will match their price .

Yeah that happened me I think. Was marked 54.99 on the box, but they only charged me 49.99 for the limited edition at the till.

Seems to be the same everywhere. HMV may have it cheaper, they often do.

Tesco are usually good for a decent price too, worth keeping an eye on them.

€45 in HMV. Just had the standard edition when I was there. Although you can get a copy of The Hurt Locker on Blu-Ray for an extra €6 if you pick up a copy on PS3.

Nice! That's a steal for The Hurt Locker! Excellent film. I picked it up on Blu-ray from Amazon for around €15 a week ago.

I thought all the first shipment were limited editions? Heard somewhere that the standard one wasn't going to be shipped till the limited edition was sold out.

I got this deal today. Best I've seen. I almost bought Hurt Locker last week, I'm glad I didn't, now.

There was a collectors edition in game with extra stuff, but I got it in HMV and it has the VIP code in the box for extra maps. The fancy collectors box was the same price as the normal box though, so thats probably what people mean.

fancy collector's box? 'Limited Edition' regular box - apparent extra perks unlocked. nothing major.. not worthy of another edition.

£36.99 at ToysRus, Sprucefield. It came with a VIP code for additional dlc.

I think people would disagree with that. I walked 300 meters and I saved a fiver. No I'm not that hard up for cash but why should I not shop around for the best price.

Anyway. I just called HMV, they are selling it for 44.99 but will give you 29 euro if you trade in MW2 which is pretty good i think.

Again, I'll mod, you can be a user. Stop back-seat modding, it's not cool... or funny.

Because you're so insistent on knowing why I've left this one alone, it's because 1. it has a lot of views and posts & 2. these threads are useful during the launch of big titles because people find it nice to save a few quid. It's not in the mega-thread because the money-saving info will get lost in a sea of discussion about the game itself, as well as stuff that could be considered spoilers.

Now, quit the back-seat modding.
