Quickest and cheapest route to Germany.??

    Hi, I'm planning on travelling to Germany travelling in a van. Anyone know the quickest and cheapest route to get there.? thanks

    It will vary depending on where you start and end up and what ferries you use.

    Ferry / Eurotunnel price will vary a lot depending on peak / off-peak time, day and month.

    Fuel is more expensive in the UK, but presumably you will have crossed most of it on a single tank.

    Also consider that some longer ferry trips mean you can get some sleep.

    You considered Rosslare to Cherbourg rather than Ireland to Wales, would save a lot in petrol and the costs of a channel crossing

    hi i was looking this up too, am driving a car to czech republic this summer from galway and will have to drive through most of germany to get there, i looked up dublin holyhead then eurotunnel for 2 people in car this would be working out 250 reurn then diseal

    Just go from Rosslare to Cherbourg then, you'd save time and fuel as you'd be on mainland Europe as soon as ya drive off the ferry, rather than have to drive through UK

    Dublin-holyhead followed by Harwich - HoekvanHolland (go for Overnight night sailing and approx 3 hours you'll be well into northern germany.
