I dug a huge hole in the middle of my tongue eating yesterday afternoon, and ever since, I'm in absolute agony.

It's turned into an ulcer the size of a small finger nail:(

I can't eat, as much as I try cos everything touches off it and causes excrutiating pain.

And before people think I'm a wuss, I've broken limbs, arm & leg and neither came close to this pain:mad:

Tried bonjella and listerine, small bit of relief, but nothing more than a couple of minutes.

Can anybody suggest something for me to try? Haven't eaten properly because of it in 2 days and no sign of this going either

This might be some help to you.

It's a spray intended to numb sore throats, but it's great for mouth ulcers too. They should have it in your local chemist.

I used to get really bad mouth ulcers, and it was a lifesaver for me.

There's a Difflam one as well.

I think you should probably go to a doctor/Casualty/VHI clinic and get this seen in case it needs a stitch or two thrown in it and they can give you proper painkillers and whatever other meds you might need.
